Senior Payroll Officer – Melbourne HQ Location: Melbourne CBD Work Type: Full-Time Hybrid Work Options Available We’re looking for a skilled Senior Payroll Officer who’s passionate about accuracy, compliance, and supporting a growing workforce across Australia and New Zealand. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment and enjoy being the go‑to expert for payroll matters, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to a high‑performing People Operations team. About the Role You will be responsible for managing end‑to‑end payroll and acting as the primary contact for payroll queries. You’ll ensure accurate, timely pay runs while maintaining strong governance, process efficiency, and system integrity. Key Responsibilities Process weekly and monthly payrolls across Australia and New Zealand Manage out-of-cycle payments, bonus runs, and scheduled award increases Review and approve payroll for additional regions as required Maintain employee records, allowances, and novated lease arrangements Work with NetSuite and Oracle payroll systems Use Kronos Time & Attendance data to support accurate processing Ensure compliance with STP, IRD reporting, and legislative requirements Interpret Enterprise Agreements, awards, and apply NES conditions Calculate termination payments and leave liabilities Collaborate with People & Culture, Finance, auditors, and external partners About You 3+ years’ experience in full‑function payroll Experience using NetSuite and Oracle Strong understanding of AU/NZ payroll legislation and compliance Exceptional attention to detail with strong organisational skills Excellent communication skills and a high level of confidentiality Confident working with multiple stakeholders across the business Qualifications in HR, Accounting, or related fields (desirable) What’s on Offer Competitive salary and employee benefits Hybrid work model (office + WFH) Inclusive, supportive culture with regular team engagement Professional development and progression opportunities A dynamic environment within a growing organisation #J-18808-Ljbffr
