Business Development Manager – Asset Management La Trobe Financial is Australia's premier alternative asset manager, managing over $20 billion in assets and employing more than 550 staff across Melbourne and Sydney. The Opportunity As part of our Asset Management Division, you will maintain and grow commercial relationships with financial advisers across New South Wales, supporting existing strategies and launching new products. Key Responsibilities Outbound communication with financial advisers to arrange appointments and follow‑up meetings Promote La Trobe Financial’s full asset‑management product suite, supporting existing strategies and the launch of future strategies Activate leads to financial advisers, dealer groups and platforms Achieve sales targets, generate activity and manage relationships with key financial planning groups Plan and implement a successful strategy to achieve sales targets, generate activity, partner with internal stakeholders and manage relationships across clients Maintain database and produce weekly reports to Head of Distribution Effectively and regularly communicate with financial advisers, dealer group and platform representatives Travel as required for client business, divisional workshops, presentations, PD days and conferences Represent La Trobe Financial in a professional manner and demonstrate our corporate values at all times About You Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, preferably business, commerce or finance 5+ years sales experience in asset management, financial planning industry or similar field Expertise in investment strategies across asset classes, including private markets Proven track record in business development Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship‑management skills Employee Benefits Competitive salary and a range of perks, including a paid day off for your birthday Paid volunteer days to support causes you care about Purchase additional annual leave when you need it 18 weeks paid primary carer parental leave plus superannuation contributions Free annual membership to Taronga Zoo and the Collingwood Football Club Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for wellbeing support Ongoing training and development opportunities Team events and celebrations you’ll want to attend Retail therapy discounts through Reward Gateway Job Details Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level Employment type: Full‑time Job function: Sales and Business Development Please note: only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. #J-18808-Ljbffr
