St Andrews Christian College is seeking a dedicated and passionate PE & Health Teacher to join our Primary and Secondary teams in Wantirna South. This full-time, permanent position offers an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a meaningful impact in the field of education. There is also an opportunity for the successful candidate to take on additional leadership roles, such as Primary Sports Coordinator and/or Head of PE & Health. The main responsibilities and tasks of the teaching role include: Planning, preparing and delivering engaging and effective lessons across the secondary school curriculum. Assessing and reporting on the progress of students, providing constructive feedback to support their development. Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the needs of diverse student abilities and backgrounds. Collaborating with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development and enhancement of teaching practices. Participating in extracurricular activities, school events, and pastoral care duties as required. Adhering to school policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and child protection. The main responsibilities for the Head of Faculty role include: Providing leadership and guidance to teaching staff within the designated year levels, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. Developing and implementing curriculum plans, in line with College policies and educational standards, to enhance student learning outcomes. Monitoring and evaluating student progress, implementing strategies to support individual learning needs and promote academic success. Collaborating with colleagues to facilitate professional development opportunities and sharing best practices in teaching methodologies. Contributing to the wider College community by participating in relevant meetings, events, and extracurricular activities. Communicating effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress, pastoral care, and behavioural matters. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for education, and a commitment to nurturing the holistic development of young people. A relevant teaching qualification and experience in a similar role are essential.
