Responsibilities Providing case management support and assistance to women who are experiencing violence or abuse including: Assisting clients to stabilise their personal circumstances Undertaking risk assessment and safety planning Providing referrals or longer-term advocacy Facilitating brokerage support as needed Working closely with the Centre’s multidisciplinary health team to ensure wrap around services and continuity of care support to clients. Supporting and undertaking intake assessments Making referrals to external services and other agencies as appropriate to the needs and goals of the client Participating in the development, facilitation and evaluation of therapeutic, education/support groups as time and work plan allows. About Us The Illawarra Women’s Health Centre established in 1986, provides free or low-cost health and wellbeing services, programs, groups and education to improve women’s health across the Illawarra. The Centre operates from a feminist and social model of health perspective. The Centre is a not for profit registered charity, delivering services for women and girls pertaining to sexual and reproductive health, mental health and emotional wellbeing, domestic and family violence support, and community connection. About You Passionate about walking alongside women with empathy, respect and dignity, you’re a compassionate and skilled caseworker who recognises the resilience and resourcefulness of women. With relevant qualifications and minimum 5 years’ experience providing trauma and domestic violence informed casework you are confident supporting women through individual casework, co‑facilitating therapeutic &/or community groups, and offering advocacy and crisis support when needed.
