A little about the role Kids First Australia have an exciting Child and Family Manager position working within NEMA Orange Door; a multi-agency hub that delivers high quality, safe and effective responses, in partnership with Family Safety Victoria (FSV). The Orange Door Support and Safety Hubs (Orange Door) were established as a recommendation from the Royal Commission into Family Violence and refer to the new access points for women, children and young people who are experiencing family violence, or families who need assistance with the care and wellbeing of children, to access the services they need to be safe and supported. The Orange Door aims to be accessible, safe, and welcoming and provide quick and simple access to services and supports. The Child and Family Manager (Orange Door) role has an important role in fostering solid, beneficial working relationships with its partner, to ensure best outcomes for the Orange Door's clients. The primary purpose of the Child and Family Manager (Orange Door) role is to work in partnership within a matrix management model to provide effective, efficient, and professional operational management of the Kids First team in The Orange Door. What we are looking for: Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology or social science or another related field. Highly developed management skills including managing staff appraisals, supervision, coaching and feedback to ensure staff are supported, developed, and engaged to provide optimum practice and service delivery. Demonstrated experience in motivating and supporting staff in a change and reform environment including high-level organisational skills in change management. Contemporary knowledge of relevant government policy and research in respect to evidence based services for children, parents, and families. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
