We are seeking a Business Development Manager (APAC) to take a lead role in driving our regional growth plans across our Defence and Maritime markets. Reporting to the Future Business Director — APAC, you’ll be a Business Development leader who thrives on breaking convention, uncovering real customer problems, and turning them into innovative, practical solutions. The right candidate can be based anywhere in Australia. Key Responsibilities Identify real customer challenges and lead the creation of novel solutions that deliver measurable value. Drive campaigns and capture opportunities that expand BMT’s position in the Defence & Maritime markets. Influence decision‑makers at every level – from senior Government stakeholders to internal delivery teams – to align people and resources around shared outcomes. Build a high‑quality pipeline through deep market insight, competitor analysis, and forward‑looking strategy. Represent BMT as a thought leader at industry events, ensuring our brand is associated with innovation and credibility. About You A proven business builder with experience growing opportunities in the Defence & Maritime sector. Innovative, disruptive, and not afraid to ask “what if?”. Skilled at influencing across boundaries – with customers, industry partners, and internal teams. Commercially astute, with a knack for turning market shifts into profitable outcomes.
