Payroll Consultant – ING Australia Join to apply for the Payroll Consultant role at ING Australia. At ING Australia, we’re dedicated to fostering a culture of inclusivity and innovation, with the support and resources you need to succeed. Join us today and take the first step towards building a career as exceptional as you are. ING Human Resources is a specialist team of Business Partners, Talent, and Learning experts and People Services Specialists, including our hands‑on Payroll team of 3. We support an ING Australia team of circa 2000 employees. ING Payroll uses ADP and is a close‑knit, very hands‑on team who enjoy busy workdays with a wide range of business interactions. ING and ING HR have recently been undergoing change and transformation. We are looking for payroll specialist experience, someone who enjoys a busy, challenging role, where the processes and systems require problem solving and initiative. If you like the sound of a role where you can use your experience and energy to get stuck in and churn through the work, while at the same time suggesting and contributing ways to improve our processes this will suit you. On any given day, you’ll be processing fortnightly pay runs, reconciling superannuation and leave liabilities, liaising with our payroll vendor (ADP), and ensuring high levels of compliance to evolving payroll legislation. We are looking for a specialist who will proactively identify inefficiencies and help implement smarter, improved processes. Someone totally comfortable with “change”. The team also has the opportunity to get involved in supporting reporting and assisting with audits. We invite you to share your profile and be ready to demonstrate your extensive payroll knowledge and examples of “can‑do” attitude, resilience and confidence in juggling competing priorities. Preference is for experience in a regulated industry. ING HR is evolving and this is a perfect time to be joining to make impact and grow your career What you’ll do Process fortnightly and off‑cycle payroll Reconcile super, PAYG, leave, and overpayments Resolve payroll queries and support audits Align data between HRIS and payroll systems Handle terminations, leave, and reporting Improve payroll processes and ensure compliance Support international payroll and partner with HR/Central People Services What we’re looking for 5+ years’ payroll experience in regulated environments Proven payroll systems and compliance knowledge Advanced Excel; ADP and Workday preferred Skilled in process improvement and stakeholder management Detail‑oriented, analytical, and adaptable What’s in it for you? Discounted ING Salary Continuance Insurance An additional rest day to support your wellbeing An IMPACT day to volunteer on approved sustainability activity About Us At ING, we want to make life simpler and more worthwhile – for everyone who banks with us, for the people who work with us, and the community at large, too. When you come to work at ING, you’re joining a team where individuality isn’t just accepted, it’s encouraged. We’ve built a culture that’s fun, friendly and supportive – it’s the kind of place where you can be yourself and make the most of whatever you have to offer. We give people the freedom to think differently, take ownership of their work, and make great things happen. We’re here to help you get ahead. And with our global network, there’s plenty of scope to take your career in new directions, perhaps even ones you’ve never considered. We are all about celebrating success and as a result we are proud to be a WGEA Employer of Choice for Gender Equality and a certified Family Inclusive workplace. Sound like the kind of place you’d feel at home? We’d love to hear from you. (One last thing, ING operates a direct talent sourcing model. So no agency introductions, please.) Need more? Before you apply Here at ING we consider employee development to be important and encourage existing employees to apply for suitable internal positions. It is expected that any employee applying for a vacant position would have been in their current role for a minimum of twelve (12) months before applying. This may be waived in special circumstances and after consultation with your manager. ING is Australia’s most recommended bank according to RFi XPRT Survey, February 2021 – July 2021 (n = 31,903) when compared to customers of 20 other banks operating in Australia. #LI-DNI #J-18808-Ljbffr
