About the position
The Student Recruitment Officer (Non School Leaver) is responsible for providing high quality sales and customer service support to mature age prospective students. The role is required to deliver personalised one on one consultations with prospective students, manage academic stakeholder relationships, coordinate a schedule of webinars and assist with the delivery of activities across the 12-month calendar of student recruitment events, conferences and expos.
The Domestic Student Recruitment (DSR) team is responsible for implementing an acquisition and conversion strategy on behalf of the University to achieve its strategic goal of recruiting high quality domestic applications. This includes the management of course enquiries and sales activities, working in partnership with direct admissions and marketing to deliver postgraduate and non-school leaver student recruitment strategies across Australia.
Recruitment and International Operations (RIO) plays a key role in the development of customer growth and stakeholder engagement strategies across all available markets and channels including domestic, regional, international markets and online.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have;
- Degree with subsequent relevant experience to consolidate the theories and principles learned, or extensive experience with Marketing, Sales, or Student Recruitment.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience in organising sales activities including in event management, including planning, promotion and implementation.
- Well-developed verbal and written communications skills, including effective public speaking and ability to provide course information in a professional manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise with senior academic staff, working professionals and members of the public.
- Evidence of an ability to self-manage and work as part of and contribute to a team.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to build mutually beneficial relationships.
- Demonstrated knowledge of office practice and procedures, including experience with the Microsoft Office suite.
