Finance Assistant

**Tasks**:
- Look after Kaleido’s **invoice and document management**:Ensure that all invoices are processed and filed appropriately & drive overall process improvements.
- Support** general bookkeeping-, month-end-, and year-end closing activities **by compiling and preparing relevant reports, data, and information.
- Prepare, process, and supervise **vendor and other payments within our banking platform** and keep an overview of our cash inflows and outflows.
- Support the **optimization and automatization of various accounting and finance processes **& ensure overall operational efficiency within our team.
- Interact closely with** internal (People Team, Sales) & external (Accounting, Payroll, banks) collaborators** and safeguard smooth communication between departments.
**Requirements**:
- **Commercial educational background **(HAK, HLW,...) and/or completion of an** accounting certification **(e.g. at WIFI or similar institution).
- Profound work experience in Finance/Accounting and ideally **1-2 years of experience in a similar role **(ideally in a startup or scale-up).
- **Strong communication skills** that enable efficient exchange with various collaborators inside and outside of Kaleido on a regular basis.
- **Pronounced affinity towards numbers, data, and statistics**:
- combined with an accurate, quality-focussed, and diligent working style.
- Outstanding **organizational** and** Excel skills.**
- The right attitude to **conduct repetitive tasks thoroughly** as part of a daily routine - and to naturally look out for ways to **make processes and workflows more efficient.**
- Fluency in **German and English**
- **Good sense of humor**:While delivering the best work we can, we don’t take ourselves too seriously - and strive to have a good time and fun at work (e.g. at ping-pong or table soccer sessions after lunch).
