**Job Summary**

This position would be based in Vienna, Austria.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ecosystem Development: Exploratory Areas of New Standardization & Innovation - Invests IEEE SA energies in initiatives where its contributions may result in proper impact relative investment returns in a sustainable fashion - Collaborates with proper marketplace stakeholders to drive and deliver meaningful outcomes for the ecosystem - Actively develops relationships with key stakeholders to advance necessary standardization across local, regional, and global ecosystems - Act as a thought leader to help inform/shape emerging initiatives and regulations aligned with IEEE SA’s areas of interest. - Ideate and recommend strategies to inform and engage in IEEE SA’s businesses - Work with business leadership Europe to ensure awareness of key issues and inform policy positions on those issues, and support commercial and market development opportunities identified by business - Engages in partnerships to explore proof of concept areas as well with strategic partners to advance areas of mutual interests
- Ecosystem Acceleration: Harmonizing existing efforts with aspirational aims - Integrates relevant expertise to support acceleration and realization of pragmatic outcomes that support standardization usefulness and applicability - Encompasses broad range of engagements to achieve desired, contextual results - Builds upon on network of networks to expand understanding and applicability of global nature of IEEE standardization with desirable capacity building initiatives
- Ecosystem Evaluation: European Standardization Pipeline Development - Actively presents in thought leadership and public speaking opportunities to reflect the value of IEEE SA in regional market - Identifies substantial market opportunities aligned with IEEE SA aims in European Market and with Global applicability - Evaluates regional opportunities and policies for strategic capacity development and delivery opportunities through products, services or solutions as input into IEEE SA product and services roadmap - Directly engaged in localized proposal input and engagement
- Ecosystem Delivery & Operations: - Coordinates and engages with team on standardization opportunities development and management - Develops, Oversees and Operationalizes programs within portfolio to deliver consistent quality of experience and results - Drives increased regional engagement through managed portfolio within IEEE SA regional stakeholders participation in governance and IEEE standards development related activities.
- Regional Standards Operations & Delivery - Oversee resources and activities to support successful implementation of opportunities and delivery - Coordinate with necessary IEEE/SA departments to deliver on expected goals and objectives as set forth by the organization - The incumbent works closely with the IEEE Vienna Office and coordinates with the local team as well as the global teams - Budget and forecast management - Management of contractors and vendors - Standard IEEE SA and IEEE business operations
- Strategic Reviews - Regularly conducts an analysis of the quality and success of regional engagement - Provides opportunities reports and assigned risks as a part of IEEE-SA opportunity pipeline development - Participates in quarterly reviews and planning, and for calibration of impact and initiatives - Stay abreast of changes in the European standards environment to best serve the objectives of the IEEE SA

**Additional Responsibilities**
- Ability to coordinate work with others and show commitment to the collective output of a team - Ability to analyze complicated and complex relationships and issues - Proven capacity to operate in a team-driven environment - Strong project management skills with ability to effectively handle multiple projects and priorities - Relevant international experience - Strong interpersonal skills, including situational awareness and relationship management - Strong writing skills (English language) and two additional European language desirable, preferably German and French. - Demonstrated anticipatory management skills and conflict resolution skills, including negotiation and mitigation - Advanced knowledge and use of main business software and online tools (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite, Google Office Suite, Salesforce etc.) - Travel required (moderate to high, overnight required); Valid international travel credentials required - Experience with customer relationship management tools

**Qualifications**
