Job Title: Critical Environment Technician

Microsoft is seeking a skilled Critical Environment Technician to join our Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team. As a Critical Environment Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the critical infrastructure that keeps our datacenters up and running.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for surveillance, scheduled service, and maintenance of essential datacenter critical environment infrastructure and related equipment.
  • Oversee regular facility checks and ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal guidelines.
  • Handle vendor relations and optimize operational continuity in accordance with the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Collaborate with external and internal parties, including Service Planning, Security, and third-party vendors.
  • Advocate Safety First at work and support Health and Safety at the workspace.
Requirements:
  • Vocational/craftsman education in technical fields (electrician, HVAC technician).
  • Hands-on experience in an electrical or industrial environment.
  • Proficiency in the operation, upkeep, and repair of electrical/mechanical systems, including cooling and HVAC units.
  • Fundamental skills in managing subcontractor activities and vendors interactions.
  • Language proficiency: advanced English. Fluency in German language is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent AND mission critical services experience.
  • Associate's Degree or technical trade certification, or higher-equivalent education AND mission-critical services experience.
