CIRSE is an educational and scientific association dedicated to improving patient care through teaching, science, research, and clinical practice in cardiovascular and interventional radiology.
Our society represents over 9,600 members and hosts the largest annual IR congress worldwide. We strive to provide education and training to our members, enhancing patient care and advancing the medical discipline of interventional radiology.
Job Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will support our Editorial Office team in managing CIRSE's scientific journals (CVIR, CVIR Endovascular, and CVIR Oncology) and overseeing the production of Standard of Practice (SOP) documents aimed at improving quality of patient care and assisting interventional radiologists in their daily practice.
- Liaise with editors, authors, reviewers, publisher, and other stakeholders
- Support Editors and Editorial Board members
- Prepare project briefings for committee members, editors, CIRSE leadership, and executive director
- Organise meetings, coordinate invitations, compile agendas, provide presentations, offer technical support, and take minutes
- Draft correspondence, presentations, content for newsletters and other CIRSE publications
- Work in manuscript submission and peer-review system
- Manage website content and coordinate promotional activities
Requirements
The ideal candidate should be a native (or near-native) English speaker with excellent communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and strong organisational, analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills are essential. Knowledge of manuscript submission systems, such as Editorial Manager, is advantageous.
