Data Management Strategist for BMW Central and Southeastern Europe

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Data Management Strategist to join our team at BMW Group in Salzburg. As a key member of our data analytics team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive data strategy that drives business growth and enhances decision-making capabilities.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data management, finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience. They will have a proven track record of designing and implementing data-driven solutions, as well as experience working with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and QLIK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a data strategy for BMW Central and Southeastern Europe
  • Establish a data analysis and BI expertise center for optimizing reporting, information, and data usage
  • Ensure data and KPI consistency within the company (Sales, Marketing, Aftersales Finance) aligned with central (Munich HQ) and BMW Financial Services requirements
  • Maintain data quality and consistency across reporting and local systems
  • Standardize reported and published reports, streamline data sources and reporting processes
  • Coordinate data stewards in business departments
  • Serve as the main contact for all data in the Region Central and Southeastern Europe for internal and central departments
Requirements
  • University Degree in finance or data management and at least 5 years of relevant work experience in finance, risk, data analytics or business intelligence
  • Strong skills in IT, analytics, strategy, presentations and communication
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools in a complex environment, combining insights into data / system concepts and business patterns
  • Ideal experience with data warehousing and data analytics such as Power BI, Tableau and QLIK
  • Excellent networking abilities and ability to establish contacts
  • Strong negotiation skills and persuasive abilities
  • Fluent in English
