Position Overview:

The role of the Account Manager III is pivotal in driving sales within the Biotech sector, fostering supplier relationships, and promoting essential products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the sales initiatives for Biotech-specific products, enhancing partnerships with suppliers and advocating for core offerings.
  • Acquire and sustain a comprehensive understanding of Thermo Fisher Scientific's market positioning and product range relevant to your sector. Leverage this knowledge to effectively showcase the organization's strengths and establish a robust network within the company.
  • Communicate the tailored value proposition of Thermo Fisher Scientific to key clientele with clarity and impact.
  • Meet or surpass designated sales and margin objectives for your territory.
  • Formulate and execute strategic and tactical sales plans to achieve revenue and gross margin goals, utilizing company-defined financial frameworks.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure ongoing market presence and profitability through in-depth engagement with scientific end-users and procurement contacts.
  • Employ effective communication and influencing techniques to optimize internal resource utilization and enhance sales efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to drive product sales and service enhancements.
  • Implement strategic initiatives for both Program and non-Program accounts.
  • Identify customer needs and capitalize on valuable business opportunities.
  • Maintain alignment with personal administration metrics and manage the sales force automation system.
  • Oversee compliance with key performance indicators, including sales performance, call planning, call frequency, and opportunity management.
Qualifications for Success:
  • Proven sales experience or a highly motivated entry-level candidate.
  • Background in scientific fields or laboratory management, particularly with laboratory equipment, consumables, chemicals, and life-science products.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and web applications, as well as familiarity with sales force software.
  • A commercial mindset, driven by a strong desire to secure new business opportunities.
  • Fluency in both German and English.
  • Strong collaboration, time management, communication, presentation, strategic selling, and negotiation skills.
  • A confident demeanor, capable of engaging with clients in various settings, including one-on-one meetings, exhibitions, and formal presentations across diverse sectors.
