We are seeking a Software Test Manager (m/f/d) for Passenger Coaches to join our team in Vienna. This role involves engaging in the engineering of our cutting-edge and eco-friendly passenger coaches. Within our Corporate Infrastructure division, we focus on developing tools and simulations while providing the necessary laboratory infrastructure for various software disciplines. Our team of software configuration managers, test managers, and testers plays a crucial role in ensuring effective project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • As a test manager in the Coach Control and Diagnostics department, you will evaluate test specifications and confirm that the outlined software requirements are adequately addressed by the tests.
  • Collaborating with software project managers and testers both locally and internationally, you will establish protocols for conducting automated and manual tests.
  • You will oversee the planning of lab test benches and vehicle requirements, coordinating closely with technical managers.
  • You will organize all testing activities in the laboratory and on the vehicles, regularly monitoring the progress of these activities.
  • Additionally, you will conduct tests using automation tools and document the findings and pertinent observations in comprehensive test reports.

Required Qualifications

  • A completed bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, such as electrical engineering, computer science, or mechatronics, is essential.
  • You should possess initial experience in automation or testing environments.
  • Familiarity with test automation, Continuous Integration, and digital twin technologies is preferred.
  • Experience with test management tools and software environments, such as SIBAS G, as well as PLC programming, is advantageous.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional business travel (approximately 10%) for vehicle testing is required.
  • Proficiency in English is essential, with German language skills at a B2 level or higher to facilitate effective communication.

Additional Information

We provide a competitive compensation package commensurate with your qualifications and professional experience. The gross annual salary for this position is based on a 38.5-hour workweek, with potential for overpayment depending on your education and experience.
