About the role The Officer – Emergency Services and Community Mobilisation works with local, state and national stakeholders to build organisational capability.
Working with the Emergency Services team 3 days and the Community Mobilisation team 2 days, the role acts to innovate, attract, engage and retain volunteers and members.
This position focuses on:
Enhancing the readiness, capability, and engagement of Victorian Emergency Services volunteers, and supporting emergency operations.Strengthening relationships and communications across sectors.What you will bring Experience in the coordination, management, and support of volunteers and/or members within emergency services, volunteering or related fields.Sound collaboration and communication skills to effectively engage with volunteers and stakeholders at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to address complex challenges in volunteer management.Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritise tasks in high-pressure situations.Experience in negotiation and problem-solving for volunteers and/or members.Demonstrated ability to coordinate events.Strong commitment to Reconciliation.Driver's licence and WWCC required.Benefits that act for you, while you act for humanity Financial wellbeing: In addition to your salary, you can take advantage of salary packaging that could provide you with a great way to reduce the amount of tax you pay - and get more from your salary.

Salary from $85,145.84 + superannuation + access to salary packaging.
