CTS People, on behalf of 10 Four Truck Repairs, is seeking a Workshop Manager to lead a team of experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics in their well-established, family-friendly Blacktown workshop.
This position is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the workshop, upholding the company's reputation for delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance for heavy diesel trucks and trailers, particularly float trailers.

Job Title: Workshop ManagerLocation: Blacktown, NSWEmployment Type: Full-time, PermanentWork Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtimeKey Responsibilities As the Workshop Manager, you will:
Leadership & Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of Heavy Diesel Mechanics, apprentices, and support staff, fostering a positive and productive work culture.Workshop Operations: Plan and coordinate daily workflows, ensuring all maintenance and repair jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.Customer Service: Liaise with clients to provide updates on repairs, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain strong client relationships.Technical Oversight: Assist with diagnostics, troubleshooting, and complex repair tasks as required, ensuring technical excellence.Compliance & Safety: Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and company policies.Inventory Management: Oversee stock levels, order necessary parts and tools, and ensure efficient use of resources.Reporting & Administration: Maintain accurate records of work orders, parts usage, and staff productivity.
Generate reports for senior management as required.Skills and Qualifications To excel in this role, you will need:
Qualifications: Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the heavy diesel industry, with previous supervisory or management experience highly regarded.Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of diagnosing and repairing heavy diesel trucks and trailers, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and ensure smooth workshop operations.Customer Focus: Strong commitment to delivering exceptional service and maintaining client satisfaction.Licensing: Australian manual driver's licence preferred but not essential.Why Join 10 Four Trucks?
