The Role & Responsibilities: As an Operations Services Manager, you will lead and manage the delivery of municipal and community services in remote locations, ensuring operational excellence, delivering impactful outcomes, and fostering community connections.
This hands-on leadership role requires adaptability, resilience, and a commitment to creating meaningful impact in diverse settings.
Key responsibilities include: Overseeing the delivery of municipal and community services, including waste management, community events, and night patrols.Mentoring and developing a diverse team, fostering professional growth and strong workplace culture.Building partnerships with local schools, health clinics, and other organisations to enhance community outcomes.Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and managing the financial budgets effectively.Promoting environmental sustainability and adhering to best practices.Coordinating resources to meet the dynamic needs of the community.Presence in the community inspecting public spaces and driving improvement initiatives.What You Will Bring: Leadership experience in either operations and/or municipal services.Hands-on leadership style and capability to lead by example.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively in cross-cultural environments.Practical skills in stakeholder management and relationship building.Demonstrated leadership skills and experience mentoring and motivating diverse teams.Strong problem-solving abilities and time management.Financial management expertise and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.A current manual driver's license and the ability to adapt to remote community living.What You Will Receive: A competitive salary package from $120k + heavily subsidised fully furnished accommodation.Generous additional annual locality payment.Above average annual leave entitlements of 6 weeks per year.Supportive and inspirational senior leadership team.Opportunities for both professional and personal development.The chance to work in a culturally rich, unique, and rewarding environment.An impactful role contributing to the well-being and prosperity of local communities.Support for transitioning to the community, with a structured onboarding and training schedule.If you are an experienced leader with a passion for community development and operational excellence, this is your chance to make a meaningful difference in a stunning part of Australia.
