Skills/Qualifications

The requirements for employment are a university degree and a doctorate in a relevant field as well as a habilitation or a scientific qualification of equal value, e.g. through publications and university teaching in the field of power electronics. Further prerequisites are pedagogical and didactical skills including experience in the use of modern teaching methods and leadership qualities.

Specific Requirements

The preferred research specialization of the new professor shall be in the area of power electronics for energy technology
- System integration of power electronics in energy generation, transformation and transmission
- Digital power management
- Modelling, simulation, characterization and development of power electronic components, circuits and systems
- System aspects of power electronics such as stability, efficiency and mitigation of harmonics, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
- Reliable and smart power electronics (e.g. design for reliability)
