**Our business**

**Your role**:

- You generate company data and analysis in the chemicals sector (olefin & polyolefin, plastics recycling), evaluate market penetration and understand customer need.
- You develop deep understanding of the recycling market drivers and contribute to the production of written analysis explaining and predicting the market developments (short to long-term.
- You manage projects and studies in close alignment with Industrial Sales & Marketing (M&T) as well as with Refining (New Business Implementation) with special focus to the responsible of “Customer Value and Pricing Management / Sales Analytics”.
- You develop mid-to long term petrochemicals supply and demand market picture, as a support for strategy setup and project decision, including volume and market price development in relevant markets. Present findings to key-stakeholders and senior management in the company and drive strategic recommendations (Petrochemicals MTP, Petrochemicals FDOP, Petrochemicals input for OMV group-wide reports)
- You act as focal point for all petrochemical data providers and act as steering interface between M&CI and relevant stakeholders within OMV group (incl. Borealis)
- You improve and maintain the price forecasting for petrochemicals: define the gaps and improvement potentials in close alignment with Borealis counterparts.
- You prepare and report findings from continuous monitoring of competitors activities and their strategic moves by analyzing portfolio of key competitors (understanding strategic positioning of main competitors, screening of latest competitors moves)
- Key products to be covered: Chemicals feedstock (Naphtha, NGLs, LPGs), Chemical products (Ethylene, Propylene, Butadiene and Benzene + at least next step into the value chain; bio products (bio Ethylene, bio Propylene), Polymers (PE, PP, PET, recycled PE,PP,PET, bio plastics) and Key regions to be covered: Global but focus on key markets Europe, Asia, Middle East and US

**Your profile**:

- You have a Master Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
- You have minimum 9 years of relevant professional experience
- You have a well developed understanding of markets and competitors
- You have hands-on experience with different models and tools is required, familiarity with macroeconomic and financial market data sources is a an advantage
- You have experience with statistical software (e.g., EViews, Stata, Python, R) and advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills desired, especially for forecast modelling (software and methodologies)
- You are exceptionally detail-oriented with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data, summarize key concepts and clearly articulate relevant conclusions
- You have excellent English and German communication (verbal and written) skills, with the ability to prepare executive level presentations
- You have strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills and a inquisitive nature, ability to ask right questions and escalate issues
- You are a self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with a proven track record of execution against deliverables
- You have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with frequently changing priorities and to meet deadlines under pressure
