Operations & Service Administrator - Hallam, Victoria Immediate Start - December 2025 (Part Time) An opportunity has arisen for a 'Operations & Service Administrator' to join Steamtech Engineering on a part time basis. We are looking for a high-character individual who will bring a positive, can-do attitude to the position. The role will involve working in a team of motivated individuals who strive for successful outcomes including continuous improvement & growth. Steamtech Engineering are an established, Australian owned company actively involved in all aspects of the Australian Boiler Industry, with over 40 years of experience in boiler industry, providing ongoing programmed maintenance, service & support to a wide range of industrial & commercial customers. About the role This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced & organised professional to play a key part in the day-to-day operations of this leading engineering services company. As the Operations & Service Administrator, you will be responsible for providing essential administrative support to the daily operations of the business including supporting the service, finance & management team, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows. The role is varied in its scope & would suit a proactive individual who enjoys problem-solving, process improvement & working with people. What we can offer you? Above award rates & performance bonuses Friendly & supportive team/work environment Flexible hours & work arrangement open to discussion High end industrial & commercial customers Long term career & loyal employment What you'll be doing Scheduling & planning programmed maintenance activities Coordinate, support & schedule service calls & technician appointments Liase with customers in relation to schedules & maintenance requirements Provide customer support & manage customer relationships Managing & updating internal records, reports & job files Maintaining detailed records of all operation & service activities Assisting with inventory management, supplier & procurement activities Generating reports & analysing/creating processes to identify/drive process/business improvements Providing general administrative, reporting & PA support to the management team What we're looking for Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines Experience as an operations or service administrator, preferably within the engineering/trades industry Above average computer literacy including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Workspace, monday.com & Simpro Maintenance Software A keen eye for detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure A team player with a proactive and solutions-focused attitude Friendly & positive attitude in interacting with staff, customers & suppliers.
