for their coal mining project in the Darling Downs region of SE QLD which is a Truck & Shovel operation.

About the Role:As the Site Senior Executive, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the mine's operations. Your primary responsibilities will include driving operational excellence, ensuring safety compliance, managing a dedicated team, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders. Provide strategic leadership and direction to achieve operational targets and objectivesChampion a culture of safety, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and implementing best practicesLead and inspire a team of professionals, promoting a positive work environment and facilitating career developmentCollaborate with cross-functional departments to optimise productivity, efficiency, and resource allocationDevelop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodiesMandatory Qualifications:Attainment of statutory legislation exam administered by the Board of ExaminersInterim Practising CertificateRIIRIS601E (or equivalent) or MINE7033; or GMIRM or MINE7041G1-G8-G9 (S123 Supervisor)RII50120 Diploma of Surface Operations ManagementRIIRIS501E Implement and maintain management systems to control riskBSBWHS521 Ensure a safe workplace for a work areaEssential skills & experience5 years experience in mining or quarrying, of which at least 2 years have been in a supervisory roleExtensive knowledge of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999Knowledge and understanding of regulatory framework for Work Health and Safety (state and national)Ability to manage sensitive, private, and confidential information and recordsExperience in risk assessment and managementExtensive experience in incident investigationCurrent Australian Driver's LicenceStrong computer literacy skills and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent communication skills (written and oral)Passion for safety managementAble to communicate effectively to large groups of workers to reiterate the required behavioursKnowledge of plant and equipment safety requirements within the mining and resources industryExperience working for a medium to large mine operator/contractorWorking knowledge of Injury Management and Return to Work requirementsSafety auditing experience
