As our Account Director, you’ll be responsible for the leadership and development of our government vertical at both Federal and State levels in line with our strategy, vision and values. You’ll use your strong experience and ties to the Australian Government community, along with your deep understanding of the buying cycles, intra-Government relationships and a solid network of clients and partners to position yourself to win deals now, and in the future.Key responsibilitiesBe the subject matter expert on all things Public Sector including providing strategic advice, supporting the broader team in government relations and proactively planning for RFP and tendersGrow, manage and retain Government sales revenue; responsible for new sales and retention, covering specifically the state and local government sector in ACT and NSWDrive business development, forecast accurately, and achieve strategic goals by leading customers through the entire business cycleBuild and deepen executive relationships with government clients to help us grow.Influence long-term strategic direction and serve as a business partnerNegotiate and manage complex agreements via the entire cycles, presenting to C-level executives in corporate and global customersUnderstand each customer’s technology footprint, strategic growth plans and business drivers, technology strategy, and competitive landscapeQualifications

Experience working within Australia’s ICT industryOutstanding interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities.Strong selling skills with the ability to convert leads to sales and close dealsExceptional networking skills and the ability to build a solid contact baseStrong desire to succeed with passion and energy with the ability to negotiate, consult and deliver quality serviceAbility to work with and present to C-level executivesAustralian Citizenship required for Security Clearances. NV1 desired or the preparedness to obtain that level of clearanceWhat you’ll bringExtensive experience of the Public Sector, selling through partners or directly, with relationships and focus on local public sectorsDeep understanding of the Government procurement process at the federal and state levelSolid selling experience to organisations that utilise IT Infrastructure as a major component of their business modelExperience within industries that deal with Information Technology, Software, Hardware, Solutions and associated Services with a demonstrated track record of exceeding goalsExperience in the management of business relationships with customers in a customer-facing roleProven track records in selling within a complex selling environment with large commercial and legal negotiationsAdditional Information
