About the role We are looking for a talented individual to join our team and contribute to our growth and success. Working closely with the VP Commercial and wider Commercial leadership team, you will focus on opportunities to hit revenue targets andmaximiseperformance both in the short and long term across the portfolio of Mainstream hotels, drive acquisition and fairshareand deliver ongross operating profit across the portfolio. This is a fixed-term contract , and we are open to applicants from various locations, not just Melbourne. Key responsibilities Develop and implement short and long-term sales strategiesfor the Mainstream business, ensuring tactical plans are created and implemented and results aremonitoredto achieve revenue, room night, marketshareand GOP goals. Oversee coordination ofrequest forproposalfor Mainstream hotels, business case strategy, pricing, strategicnegotiationsand outcomes. Liaise with chain partners,complying withprotocols and deadlines asrequired. Track progress of contracted outcomes to hotel budgeted targets, employing new business targets and strategies to address any gap to room night or rate. Regularly review business performanceacross the portfolio and understand the dynamics of the local market, demand generators, economic and consumer trends. Adaptstrategiesand develop mitigation plans. Maintain strong presence in the local community byparticipatingin approved business / industryorganisations, associations and developing a broad externalnetwork. Strategicallyidentifyopportunities for alignment of resource and talent, qualifications & experience, leading recruitment and training as necessary. Minimum 5 years of experience in related field or function. Proven ability to lead a broad sales team to achieve performance targets. In-depth knowledge of sales processes, tools, and techniques across multiple chain and non-chain brands. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
