Position Overview We’re seeking a methodical, experienced, and reliable Accounts Officer to take ownership of core accounting and finance administration functions. This role covers Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and hands‑on financial support where necessary. This is a stable, long‑term position within a growing business that values precision, accountability, and balance. It’s ideally suited to someone who enjoys structure and consistency but wants to contribute meaningfully to financial administration – not just record‑keeping. Key Responsibilities Manage Accounts Receivable: issue invoices, allocate payments, and follow up on overdue accounts (mainly B2B and government customers). Oversee Accounts Payable: reconcile supplier invoices, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and prepare payment runs. Perform banking, including weekly cash deposits (Melbourne-based). Maintain and reconcile internal budgets, and prepare weekly/monthly cash‑flow reports to outsourced accountants. Assist with the preparation of Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements and forecasts to management and accountants. Conduct month‑end close processes, including reconciliations, system checks, and data validation. Liaise with external accountants to ensure accuracy, compliance, and transparency. Maintain data integrity within Netsuite and ensure clean, accurate financial records. Provide administrative support for finance operations. Qualifications and Skills 2+ years’ experience in accounting administration or mid‑level bookkeeping. Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and how day‑to‑day transactions flow through to the financial statements. Reliable, self‑managing, and thrives in a structured, methodical environment. Skilled in Netsuite, Microsoft 365, and bank portals, working confidently in a Mac OS X environment. Clear, professional written and verbal communicator. Prefers long‑term stability and work‑life balance over hierarchical progression. Consistent, dependable attendance and takes pride in accurate, timely work.
