What are my responsibilities?

As a member of second management level, the global sales & marketing department (SM) is searching for a Regional Sales Officer (RSO) for the region North Americas (NA).

Main focus is to generate business for the entire Primetals Technologies Portfolio for respective SALES REGION which means in detail:

  • Establishment of excellent customer relationship and life cycle partnership throughout all project phases
  • Identify and prioritize business opportunities
  • Achieve order intake and market share targets, optimise cash collection, and ensure continuous improvement of gross margin with shared responsibility for profitable growth of the company
  • Develop and implement (regional) sales strategy in accordance with the overall Primetals Technologies strategy
  • Provide market know how (price and feature benchmarking), market trend and competitor analysis
  • Provide and initiate all Customer-Relationship-Management (CRM) related activities
  • Drive the Bid/No Bid process according to LoA
  • Drive the offer process and negotiate the contracts with the customer
  • Manage commercial project execution incl. claim and change management
  • Sales governance for respective countries

Further focus is Innovation and Change for respective countries.

  • Identify and prioritize business opportunities, processes, market dynamics and management challenges
  • Find future solutions for the diversity of sales activities and drive business model innovation and customer relationship management related activities
  • Foster sales process optimization in accordance with lean management and in coordination with Primetals Technologies business units and functions and other sales areas
  • Establish a culture of adaptive, flexible, innovative and fast response to customer and market needs and trends
  • Contribute to Primetals Technologies planning process (order intake on regional and customer basis)
What do I need to qualify for this job?
  • University Degree
  • English fluent as well as Spanish on negotiation level
  • Sufficient general managerial experience or MBA
  • Sufficient relevant experience in metals business with broad metals process know how
  • Sufficient leadership experience to manage global sales department and sales departments in the relevant countries such USA and Mexico
  • Preferably at least one work experience abroad in management function
  • Contract negotiations skills
