Business Development Manager

The Museum has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic professional to join the Commercial and Enterprise team in the role of Business Development Manager. The Commercial and Enterprise business unit is dedicated to driving revenue generation and enhancing visitor experiences at the Museum. Through strategic management of retail operations, venue services, tourism services and external sales, the unit aims to maximise commercial opportunities while delivering exceptional customer service. By fostering innovation and collaboration, the unit contributes to the financial sustainability of the Museum and enriches visitor engagement.
The Business Development Manager plays a crucial role as a driver of commercial growth and engagement initiatives for the Museum. Taking a lead role in shaping the Museum's revenue growth trajectory and commercial sustainability, the role oversees strategic initiatives to drive business development, optimise existing commercial operations, and identify new revenue streams including across digital and e-commerce platforms. The Business Development Manager communicates and collaborates internally to build commercial capability across the Museum, as well as fostering relationships with external partners and stakeholders to identify and leverage opportunities for commercial growth. This role is pivotal in advancing the Museum's mission and strategic objectives, contributing to its financial sustainability, market positioning and reputation as a premier cultural destination.
