We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team on this exciting journey.
Your MissionOur Finance team has played a key role in Prewave's journey, and we continue to scale. We're now looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to help us scale our performance reporting. You will work directly with the centralized Finance team located in our HQ in Vienna. As a Finance Business Partner, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the financial success of our operations.
You will monitor and analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations to optimize financial outcomes. What makes our Finance team special is our 'partner first' approach to the job - we create strong communication loops with the wider business, minimizing bottlenecks and ensuring things get done quickly and efficiently.
As our Finance Business Partner at Prewave, you will:
- Partner with the Finance Director and department heads to develop and maintain performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting systems.
- Monitor, analyze, and communicate key financial and operational performance indicators to the management team for key decisions (including P&L, cash flow statements, balance sheets, and variance analysis).
- Develop and implement robust finance processes and policies that align with the evolving needs of our rapidly growing business.
- Actively communicate key risks and opportunities, proposing new approaches.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop plans for maximizing profitability, reducing costs, and increasing revenue.
- Lead annual and quarterly budget and forecast exercises with all departments and track performance against budget.
- Develop financial models and forecasts to guide long-term planning.
- Perform and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Improve month-end close to enable timely reporting of results.
- Support the roll-out of the Accounting ERP system as well as other finance tooling.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Finance Business Partner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in finance, with a minimum of 7-8 years working with dedicated FP&A teams in either corporates or a consulting environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in business planning, financial planning (forecasting/budgeting), and analysis.
- Proficiency in English (both written and verbal).
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of creating clear presentations and conveying complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to work with strategic concepts that can propel the company forward or alter its strategic direction.
- Recognized as an excellent communicator.
- Acts as a facilitator of finance within the business, ensuring all levels understand how to generate value.
- Valid work permit for EU.

- Well-rounded accounting experience in a fast-growth scale-up.
- Having worked with SaaS businesses in the past.

- An extensive compensation package, according to our collective agreement, the minimum salary for this role is EUR 3,724 gross per month, however the higher packages are likely based on your qualifications and experience.
