Data Architect and Team Lead

Job Description:

This role combines the responsibilities of a Data Architect and an IT Team Lead in one position. As the IT Team Lead for Data Integration, you will oversee the lifecycle of allocated applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and align with the organization's IT strategy. You will also act as a liaison between IT and Business, facilitating communication and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Target-oriented technical and disciplinary leadership of assigned employees, ensuring their personal and professional development.
  • Budget responsibility and planning for the Data Integration area, based on specifications from Financial Management.
  • Perform Business Relationship Management and Business Consulting to establish the interface between business and IT, capturing business requirements and providing advice on IT and technological questions.
  • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure architectures, including systems, databases, storage, and backup solutions.
  • Collaborate with providers to develop a detailed solution design and align solution drafts with other IT stakeholders, focusing on feasibility and operability.
  • Develop a clear strategy for applications or services aligned with business goals and based on business requirements.

  • Design quality, secure, and resilient new or improved services.
  • Ensure effective communication with stakeholders, users, and relevant teams, and manage relationships with IT stakeholders.
  • Oversee 2nd level support, including updates and patches, for application and service-related topics in the Data Integration area.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational IT policies and standards, compliance with regulatory requirements, and adherence to GxP requirements if necessary.
  • Project management of Data Integration related projects.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related field.
    • Expertise in data integration tools, such as SAP BTP, Talend, Informatica, and Apache Nifi, and ETL processes.
    • Experience in process and project management, and in the implementation/rollout of new systems or application changes.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, detail-oriented with a strong focus on data quality and accuracy.
    • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with an ability to lead and mentor team members.
    • Fluent in English and German.
