Job Description

As a leading food ordering platform, Delivery Hero Austria and the foodora brand offer an exciting opportunity for a strategic Public Affairs Manager to drive business growth in Austria, Czech Republic, and Hungary.

The ideal candidate will implement our public affairs strategy, engage with key decision-makers, and influence regulatory environments to drive regional growth. Based in Vienna or Budapest, this role requires collaboration with diverse teams and key stakeholders to make a real impact.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Strategies: Develop and implement public affairs strategies to drive business growth, including drafting position papers and participating in working groups.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and manage strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Market Insights: Understand and communicate high-level market dynamics and political developments to inform business decisions.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify risks early and collaborate with internal teams to address issues before they escalate.
  • Agency Collaboration: Work closely with external agencies to ensure effective legislation monitoring and successful policy initiatives in all covered markets.
  • Opportunity Identification: Seek collaboration opportunities and foster strategic partnerships that advance our business and policy objectives.
  • Internal Reporting: Regularly report key issues and updates to the regional team and other internal stakeholders.

  • The salary depends on location. For Austria, the minimum annual gross salary is estimated at EUR 65,000 (all-in) based on full-time employment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: A degree in Public Relations, Politics, Communications, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Experience: 3-6 years of relevant experience in public policy, government affairs, or a similar role.
  • Digital Experience: Experience working with digital platforms, e-commerce, or agency environments is highly valued.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
  • Prioritization and Analytical Skills: Excellent prioritization, structured thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Self-Driven and Energetic: Self-driven, independent, and able to take initiative. Energetic and driven to make an impact in a fast-paced, evolving industry.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English (other languages are a plus, depending on location).
