LiSTNR is Australia's #1 podcast network reaching more than 8 million monthly listeners.What's on offer for you?Permanent position based out of our vibrant Melbourne office.Training and development opportunities, health and wellbeing initiatives, birthday leave, volunteer leave, concert tickets, footy tickets, social events – PLUS much moreIndustry leading, gender neutral Paid Parental Leave Policy, offering 20 weeks paid parental leave for the primary carer.Award-winning, highly supportive, and creative culture that enables you to be your best unique selfFlexible working environment (we offer a range of flexible working options to help our people balance work and home life).Attractive salary package and opportunities for growth & progression – we love to promote internally across our 65 officesAbout the role:We're looking for a Head of Direct Sales to join our Broadcast Salesteam based in Melbourne.The purpose of the Head Of Direct is to maximise Southern Cross Austereo's revenue onto and out of the Melbourne market and provide overall strategic direction and leadership to the Melbourne Direct Sales teams.What you'll be doing:Manage all revenue performance for the Melbourne Direct Sales team, develop and implement annual business plans, and ensure clear communication of sales strategies to drive new business and growth from existing accounts.Lead and manage Direct Sales Managers, focusing on team performance through recruitment, communication, performance management, training, development, and regular coaching. Ensure accurate monthly revenue forecasting for Melbourne stations and interstate, and oversee sales operations, including make goods, barter, and company processes. Ensure exceptional customer service by setting performance metrics, collaborating with other sales teams, and working with the HOS and Agency Sales Directors to maximize revenue.Build a talent pool, assist with recruitment, and develop sales staff through performance appraisals and coaching, maintaining team morale and motivation.As a member of the Melbourne Leadership team, collaborate across Southern Cross Austereo, ensure feedback loops with senior personnel, oversee project execution, and compile timely reports.Experience we're looking for: 5 + years' experience in a direct sales leadership role servicing independent agency clients in Melbourne.Proven track record of building and maintaining a high performing media sales team.High levels of professionalism and charisma, with the ability to influence, engage and persuade senior stakeholders.Exceptional track record achieving and exceeding challenging budgets and targets.Strong problem-solving skills, with a hunger to innovate and seek continuous improvements.We are values driven at SCA - if you align with our core values, you'll be a great addition to the team:We're Better TogetherPeople are our PowerAlways CuriousWe Push Doors OpenBe GenuineStill not convinced?Head to our TikTok, , for a sneak peek into some of the fun we have at SCAInterested?
