An opportunity is now available to work as a Wound Care Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 on a Temporary full-time position, located at Nepean Hospital.
The CNS Grade 2 Wound Management is responsible for the care and coordination of patients with acute and chronic wounds presenting to Nepean Hospital.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (CNS2) is a Registered Nurse who applies a high level of clinical nursing knowledge, experience and skills in providing complex nursing care directed towards a specific area of practice, a defined population or defined service area, with minimum direct supervision.
Your role is responsible for the assessment, management, referral, follow up, education and evaluation of wounds and will form part of a team leading the development of protocols and processes appropriate for acute and chronic wound management.

What you will bring to the role:
Current registration with AHPRA - Division 1 Registered Nurse.
Post-graduate qualifications in Wound management or education relevant to the field.
At least 3 years full time equivalent experience working in Plastics/Vascular/Wound management.
Commitment to champion, educate and lead a multidisciplinary team to improve patients' outcomes as part of a team.
Demonstrated problem solving and decision making abilities according to best practice.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, carers and a diverse range of health care providers.
Demonstrated commitment to clinical practice development.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision maintaining involvement within the wider multidisciplinary team.
