**Position overview**:
Do you have a strong business development background in the specialty chemicals industry and are you looking for your next challenge?

In a position of New Business Development Manager EMEA you will be supporting the strategy design for developing segments, responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within adjacent markets, as well as coordinate existing and new projects contributing to the growth of the segment within the EMEA region.

**Responsibilities**:
On the strategic level you will:

- Translate product offerings into value propositions for the identified target market segments and define channels to market;
- Identify potential customers and develop new business & customer relationships in the target market segments;
- Contribute to a better understanding of the target adjacent markets, further refining the long term strategic plan.

On the tactical and operational level you will:

- Actively explore new opportunities and take appropriate actions in collaboration with other functions to develop these into a profitable business;
- Visit and follow-up customers to identify business opportunities; present solutions & improvement suggestions, identifying win-win solutions, both from a commercial and technical standpoint;
- Generate ideas and lead them into structured projects, contributing to the new business development pipeline. Coordinate them across functions and translate them into tangible new business;
- Support the EMEA sales team by providing adequate information on allnex product offering and value propositions for adjacent markets;
- Represent allnex at trade shows, conferences, research institutes and other external events within the specific area of expertise;
- Manage a portfolio of commercial accounts: Negotiate, develop and monitor;
- Create a cross-functional team able to support new business development activities from a technical, commercial and strategic perspective and act as the focal point.

**Required skills and experience**:

- Technical degree required: Bachelor or Master in chemistry (strongly preferred), biochemistry, material science and/or other similar domains;
- Solid experience in business development, technical sales, sales positions in chemical industry, with proven track record in achieving results;
- Having an industry knowledge/experience within the coatings, adhesives and surface additives market is considered an advantage;
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen, problem solving and critical thinking;
- Strategic vision and ability to articulate a (market) plans and proposals;
- Excellent English skills, diplomacy and good communication/presentation skills (oral and written);
- Demonstrated capability of working in cross-functional and international teams and valuing different cultures;
- Ability to seize opportunities and devise market penetration strategies.
