As a Motor Claims Consultant, you’ll deliver a cost‑effective, professional, customer‑focused general insurance claims service focused on motor vehicle claims. In this role, you’ll support Commonwealth Government Agencies in managing claims for the Comcover portfolio while ensuring exceptional service and compliance with legal and governance standards. Responsibilities Undertake end‑to‑end claims management for a unique portfolio of motor vehicle claims under an established client contract. Raise payments and settle claims in line with client service instructions, company guidelines and delegated authority. Resolve complaints in accordance with company guidelines. Identify opportunities for process improvement and recognise potential fraud/recovery indicators where applicable. Maintain data integrity to support GB’s fee invoicing and client bank account reconciliation. Comply with the Legal Services Directions, Model Litigant obligations, The General Insurance Code of Practice, Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act, and other relevant legislation. Qualifications Australian citizenship (required for Commonwealth Security Clearance). Experience in motor claims handling or general claims management. Passion and drive to own and manage your own claims portfolio. Outstanding attention to detail, organisational and time‑management skills.
