Motor Claims Consultant – IAG (CGU) For over 165 years, CGU has been insuring ambition. Part of Insurance Australia Group (known as IAG), we’re a leading commercial, rural and personal lines insurer and a top‑three provider of workers compensation insurance. We’re seeking Motor Claims Consultants to join CGU’s claims team on a full‑time, permanent basis. In this role, you’ll manage a high volume of inbound calls and correspondence, supporting customers, brokers, and authorised representatives through the motor claims process. Starting 12 January 2026, you’ll receive 8 weeks of paid training, followed by 4 weeks of hands‑on support. After at least 3 months in‑office, you may be eligible for a hybrid arrangement (minimum one office day per week). You’ll work Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm local time. A private home office and high‑speed internet are required for remote work. This is a permanent full‑time role based in Tarndanya (Adelaide), Naarm (Melbourne) or Boorloo (Perth). What You'll Do Manage a high volume of inbound calls and correspondence from customers, brokers, and authorised representatives Guide customers through the motor claims process with empathy and professionalism Assess and process motor claims accurately and efficiently within policy guidelines Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve claims promptly Make confident decisions to progress claims and deliver fair outcomes Maintain detailed and accurate records while meeting compliance and service standards What You'll Bring Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast‑paced environment Strong communication skills with empathy and confidence when handling complex situations Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively under pressure Intermediate computer literacy and troubleshooting skills for navigating multiple systems High attention to detail and accuracy in processing claims and documentation Confidence in making sound decisions and resolving issues promptly What We Offer Boosted superannuation with 13% as standard. 20 days annual leave + 5 days MyLeave (extra leave for what's important to you).
