About the Role
Ogilvy Sydney is hiring a Senior Account Manager to work on one of the agency’s most exciting accounts. The account is fast-paced, expands across multiple touchpoints in each campaign and is packed with growth opportunities. You will be immersed deeply in the business and will support across a range of projects, spanning brand through to digital, all connecting back to solving business challenges.
The team is tight-knit, supportive, has no egos and always looking for ways to have fun on the day-to-day. You will learn the business inside out and work with the Group Account Director to be the client’s trusted advisor.
Key Responsibilities
Build an open, honest, and trusting relationship with the client, the account management team, the creative department, and all other agency partners.
Create the best possible opportunities for creative development, by supporting teams in creative development and understanding how it delivers business challenges.
Work alongside a team, ensuring that teamwork and collaboration are front and centre of that process.
Develop a thorough understanding of the client’s brand and its competitive environment, so that the agency is jointly driving the strategy and adding value to the relationship.
Work with internal stakeholders to get things done on time, on budget and at the right quality, including peers across departments and disciplines.
Manage the professional development of direct reports, including feedback coaching and efficient delegation.
Develop a strong relationship with the client and ensure they are kept in the loop with work in progress.
Experience & Skills
At least two years of experience in a creative agency
Experience developing through-the-line creative solutions and campaign
productions, particularly in broadcast, digital and print
Be a great listener, and then be able to move proactively and quickly
Lead the clients, not just reacting to briefs, anticipating their needs, and finding solutions
Ability to build strong agency inter-departmental and external agency relationships
Sound financial management skills
Demonstrate resilience, confidence, and tenacity
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong presentation abilities, including effective influence/persuasion skills
Ability to handle a difficult situation with diplomacy and tact
Ability to be a good judge of creative work in terms of factual accuracy and relevance to the brief
