Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position Job Description Welcome to Vineria Luisa – your newly hatted neighbourhood restaurant, wine bar, gintoneria, and pre/post-theatre go-to. We bring the charm of Italy to the heart of the city with a focus on simple, honest dishes done exceptionally well. Our menu is rooted in tradition — think Italian snacks, daily specials, and comforting classics — all designed to pair beautifully with our curated selection of cocktails and an Italian varietal-heavy cellar. We’re looking for an experienced Sommelier to help us make magic in our busy venue with a capacity of 70 guests. Whether it’s a la carte service, group bookings, or special events, you’ll play a key role in creating unforgettable experiences. If you have experience in the industry and are ready to share your charisma and warmth with our guests, we want to hear from you Essential Requirements Australian working rights Current NSW RSA Certificate Fluent in English Diploma Hospitality and/or At least 1 -3 years of experience as a Wine Waiter / Sommelier Food & wine pairing experience Ability to keep cool under pressure Excellent attention to detail Impeccable grooming standards Preferred Requirements Minimum WSET Level 2 or equivalent Bonus points for speaking Italian Your Role Will Include Crafting delightful food & wine pairings for our guests Ongoing drinks service and supporting section waiters Assisting with clearing and replacing glassware Use of POS to enter customer orders Why Join Us?
