Since our acquisition by SUNSTAR in 2021, we have integrated our products into the esteemed GUM brand family, enhancing our offerings with advanced health solutions and intelligent software. Playbrush Austria also functions as the Direct-To-Consumer hub for the Sunstar Europe Group.
Position Overview
The Consumer Activation Lead will play a pivotal role in driving commercial success by developing and executing innovative marketing strategies tailored to our target consumers in the German and Austrian markets. This position will focus on enhancing brand visibility and consumer acquisition through comprehensive digital activation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Lead a cross-functional team to manage consumer communication planning, implementation, and optimization of targeted marketing activities for the GUM brand in the DACH region.
- Develop comprehensive marketing strategies aimed at increasing brand awareness and driving direct-to-consumer acquisition while considering local market dynamics.
- Oversee the consumer marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize return on investment.
- Adapt and implement marketing campaigns and media plans developed at the headquarters level for local execution.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Execute influencer and referral marketing strategies for the GUM brand.
- Develop and implement plans for search and paid media channels in collaboration with external agencies.
- Establish and manage consumer journey plans, ensuring effective engagement at all touchpoints.
- Design and execute social media strategies in partnership with external agencies.
- Collaborate with EMEA headquarters to plan and execute web shop campaigns.
- Adapt master assets to align with the holistic GUM brand strategy.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Project Management, or Digital Marketing.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in marketing and brand management, particularly in digital marketing, direct-to-consumer, or consumer-centric industries.
- Fluency in German and English; proficiency in additional European languages is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proactive and ambitious mindset.
- Proven track record in managing digital marketing channels effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
