Strategic HR Partner for Global Blue

About the Role
As a key member of the HR department at Global Blue, this position serves as a strategic HR Business Partner for a dedicated organizational area. The successful candidate will ensure the correct deployment of group and local projects, taking on a mentoring function for AVPs, Senior Managers, Managers, and Team Leads. They will also support Country HR Business Partners in collaborating with higher management and the Workers Council.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Partner to Business: The HR Business Partner will proactively interact and build strong relationships with key stakeholders to develop and support the execution of HR services in line with Country HR Roadmap and corporate culture.
- HR Business Partnering: They will provide expert guidance on HR policies, processes, and best practices, managing complex employee relations cases and conflict resolution within the framework of Austrian legal regulations.
- Austrian Labor Law Expertise and Experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements: The successful candidate will ensure all HR activities, including employment agreements, leave requests, terminations, and disciplinary actions, adhere to Austrian labor law and the respective collective bargaining agreement.
- Employee Life Cycle Management: They will oversee and manage all aspects of the employee life cycle, ensuring compliance with Austrian labor law.
- Workers Council Collaboration: The HR Business Partner will work in close collaboration with the Workers Council, building strong relationships and fostering a positive working environment through a collaborative problem-solving approach.
- Project Implementation: They will lead local implementation of HR projects in alignment with Country HR Roadmap.
- Workday Management: The successful candidate will manage all HR processes within Workday, providing technical support to people managers and employees, and ensuring compliance.
Main KPI's
- Provide support to people managers and act as a partner to them.
- Deliver implementation of group and local HR projects.
- Ensure HR processes related to employee life cycle process are followed.
- Conduct regular HR process audits and provide analysis and recommendations.
Skills
- In-depth knowledge of Austrian labor law and its applications.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience with collaborating effectively with Workers Councils.
- Workday experience and expertise desirable.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Excellent standard of written communication.
- Excellent time management skills, ability to organize, multitask, and prioritize.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- University degree (preferably in human resources or business psychology).
- Certification of completed course in Austrian labor law.
- Further training in HR-relevant areas (e.g. employment law, coaching, organizational development).
- At least 5 years of experience in HR, at least 2 years in a similar role as HR Business Partner or HR Generalist in a complex international environment.
- Proven track record of successful collaboration in highly complex organizations.
- Experience with interactions at all levels of management.
