The Role
ABC Radio Sydney has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Content Director to join the team. Working closely with the Content Director, you will be part of a team of about 50 who work between Ultimo and Parramatta. Both locations are in new workspaces that include collaborative spaces. Parramatta offers state-of-the-art studio and broadcast capabilities.
The Job
Identify reach and engagement opportunities for ABC Radio Sydney across multiple platforms to reach under-served audiences.
Lead the planning for and delivery of key content, programs and events including Outside Broadcasts, content campaigns and community engagement activities
Elevate the profile of ABC Radio Sydney through initiatives that enable presenters and content teams to increase their presence and prominence in the community.
About You
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced journalist to step into a leadership role. You will have significant experience creating audio content with an understanding of the multiple platforms on which ABC audiences consume content.
You will also bring:
Experience in identifying and developing local content across multiple platforms that engages and inspires audiences.
Highly advanced editorial skills including the ability to source and analyse information and exercise sound judgement.
Experience in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and identifying opportunities to collaborate to deliver distinctive and compelling, multi-platform content
