Salary and Benefits

The minimum gross annual salary for this position is €57,392. Depending on your qualifications and experience, you can expect an attractive and performance-related salary with corresponding overpayment.

Job Description

The Cost Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting our financial goals by analyzing and negotiating cost savings in ongoing series production. Using their expertise in product development processes, they ensure cost transparency of requirements, production processes, and components/component groups.

  • Conduct thorough analysis and cost calculations to present component costs and target pricing for development projects transparently.
  • Manage and implement cost workshops to drive efficiency.
  • Mentor new colleagues and transfer specific knowledge through internal mentoring programs.
  • Analyze relevant cost driver structures and develop target costs based on benchmarks.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A completed commercial or technical education (HAK, HTL) or studies (FH, University).
  • No less than 5 years of professional experience in process cost knowledge, particularly in aluminum.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills and affinity for numbers and analysis.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Excel.
  • Very good German and English language skills.
  • Basic willingness to travel.
  • SAP knowledge is an advantage.
